When I first started building a space for women’s football in Football Manager, I wasn’t trying to make a big statement.
I just couldn’t find the kind of site I was looking for.
So I made it.
WFFM exists because I needed somewhere that treated women’s football in Football Manager as something worth exploring on its own terms. Not just as an add-on, but as a whole new way to play.
With FM26 introducing women’s football for the first time, a lot of people will be jumping in fresh. Some will be experienced FM players curious about the new database. Others might be here because of the women’s game. Some might be completely new to Football Manager altogether.
Wherever you’re starting from, this site was built with you in mind.
But before you go any further, it’s worth being honest about what this site is and what it isn’t.
What This Site Is
A space for exploring women’s football in Football Manager
This site is about finding joy in unfamiliar leagues, unearthing new players, and learning what managing in the women’s game actually feels like inside FM. You’ll find beginner-friendly guides, player shortlists, save ideas, and reflections on how it all fits together.
A soft landing for new players
You don’t need to have played FM for years. You don’t need to know every team or tactic.
There’s no gatekeeping here.
I’ve written guides that walk you through the basics and explain the game in clear, non-patronising ways. The goal is to give new players confidence and to make the women’s game in FM feel just as playable as the men’s has always been.
A one-person passion project
There’s no team behind this site. Just me, a head full of ideas, and a lot of staying up too late writing posts. It started as a section on theFFM.co.uk, but it grew into something that needed its own space. I update what I can, when I can, and I always try to make it useful.
What This Site Isn’t
A database or downloads hub
You won’t find custom leagues or data files. I don’t maintain a full player database or offer downloads for graphics or kits. If you’re looking for those, I’ll happily point you toward other creators once they release FM26 content.
An encyclopedia of women’s football
I’m not pretending to be an expert on every league or every player. The women’s game is big and growing fast, and there are people with far more knowledge than me covering it much better than I ever could.
This site is more about the FM experience – highlighting players, sharing save ideas, and showing what’s possible in-game. It’s not about being comprehensive. It’s about learning as we go.
A content machine
There won’t be new posts every day. No AI spam, no SEO filler.
I’m not trying to beat the algorithm, I’m just trying to make something worth reading.
Why I Made This Site
When the women’s database was first announced, I was excited… and also cautious. But when I visited Sports Interactive and saw the scope of what they were building, it felt real. And it felt like an opportunity. Not just to play the game differently, but to rebuild the way we talk about it.

What You Can Do Next
If you’ve just arrived, welcome. This site is still in its early stages – guides, save ideas, and stories are on the way. For now, this page is just a starting point.
And if there’s something you’d love to see here – an idea, a feature, or just a question – reach out.
I can’t write everything, but I do listen.
Let’s see where this goes.
